Beaphar Parasita 50ml

Beaphar Parasita is an effective spot-on solution for pigeons and cage birds. It is a veterinary medicine exempt from registration and works against mites, Sternostoma tracheacolum (air sac mites and tracheal mites), scaly face in parakeets, (Dermanyssus gallinae), feather lice, and chewing lice (Mallophaga).

Description

Beaphar Parasita is a spot-on solution for pigeons and cage birds for the control of lice and mites. It is a veterinary medicine exempt from registration and is effective against scaly face in parakeets and blood lice in pigeons. This product is intended primarily for birds and offers an effective solution against parasitic infections.

Composition

Beaphar Parasita contains as active substance Ivermectine 0.12%.

Ingredients: Active Substance: Ivermectine. Content: 0.12%.

Instructions for Use

• If air sac mites or scaly face are present, all birds in the aviary should be treated.
• Canaries, tropical birds: 1 drop in the neck.
• (Grass) parakeets and larger birds: 2 drops in the neck.
• Pigeons: 5 drops, 1 on the rump, 2 in the neck, 1 under each wing.
• Apply the drop(s) to the skin so that the liquid cannot be picked up. The feathers should be pushed aside as much as possible.
• The treatment can be repeated after 4 weeks, to prevent re-infection. Preferably, treat the birds 1-2 months before the breeding period to prevent nest contamination.

With Beaphar Parasita, owners of pigeons and cage birds can effectively control parasitic infections. The spot-on solution contains the active substance Ivermectine 0.12% and offers an effective solution against parasitic infections. By following the instructions for use, re-infection can be prevented.

Not to be used with

Do not use in sick or weak animals, and during the laying and breeding period. Do not use in animals other than those described, especially in dog species such as collies, shelties and bobtails. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.

Storage advice

Store unopened in the original container at room temperature. After opening, keep the product tightly closed in the refrigerator (2-8 °C). Unused veterinary medicinal products or waste materials thereof should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.

Precautionary measures

Side Effects: Depression of the central nervous system, with all kinds of unwanted effects: apathy, loss of appetite, mydriasis, ataxia, muscle tremors and muscle weakness. Safety precautions for the user: Keep out of the reach of children. Try to avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wash hands after use. If there has been contact with the skin, wash off with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water and contact a physician immediately.
