Furadoxine is the drug par excellence for the treatment of bacterial infections. Furadoxine is given to treat and prevent the further development of infections already present in the animal (Salmonella, E-Coli).

Dosage:

For prevention during the racing season: 1 measuring spoon (= 5 gr.) For 20 pigeons (10 kg live weight / 1 l.drinking water) for 1 or 2 days, every 2 weeks. Preferably start the day after the game.
As treatment: 1 measuring spoon (= 5 gr.) For 10 kg of live weight for 5-7 consecutive days. This healing can be repeated after a few days if necessary.

Furadoxine is a water-soluble powder, it can also be given over the feed.
In most cases, this product can possibly be combined with other DAC medicines.
Do not combine with bromhexine, linseed or carbadox!

Because we would like to give you the choice to administer the medicine to your pigeons in the way you prefer to provide it. However, drinking water medication (dissolving in the pot) has a very big advantage. Pigeons that go with a transport are exposed to all kinds of infections. Both during such a transport and during the flight itself, the chance that the pigeons get something up is very real. When the pigeons come home you want to prevent that your pigeons that stayed at home via the pot are infected by the home visitors. That is why drinking water medication is highly recommended. So an ornithosis mix through the drinking water is not only to combat any germs that have accumulated, but also to prevent the contamination from being passed on!
