Fungal infection There are few fungal infections in post pigeons.
If we find it in pigeons, that usually happens because they have a longer time:
- were in a bad condition;
- have had one-sided feed;
- have had poor quality food (damp);
- have been in a poorly ventilated environment or in a humid cage;
- have had antibiotics for a long time;
- have been receiving corticosteroids regularly.

Appearances
The fungus Aspergillus Fumigatus increases mainly in the airbags and in the other parts of the respiratory tract, such as the lungs and the trachea. In a serious infection, the fungus can expand to the other organs. The symptom is especially the annoyance. Furthermore, the pigeons are generally ill and can die. The diagnosis of a section is relatively simple. Yellow knots can be found on the size of a walnut, in the air sac or the lungs, with microscopic research, especially at the edges of those processes, the characteristic skimmers can be seen.
In the case of asparagillosis, we can also diagnose by X-ray, or by a viewing operation. In case of respiratory problems, we should of course also think of diseases such as herpesvirus infection or the ornithosis complex. In addition, a space-intensive process, an enlarged liver, fat or fluid in the abdominal cavity, also causes respiratory problems.
Other asparagus species may also occur. Aspergillosis, we should pay extra attention to hygiene and ventilation because human aspergillus can also be contaminated.

An infection with Candida Albicans (a yeast infection) can often be detected by seeing white throats in the throat, while the pigeons also have swallowing and / or breathing problems. We should of course also think about these types of phenomena   Trichomoniasis or a herpesvirus infection . Here too we can diagnose by making a spot of such a spot and after a special staining, show a candida by means of a microscopic examination.

Prevent
In the first place, therefore, we must take away the causes such as bad food and a humid environment. In addition, good ventilation is of great importance. As a fungicide antifouling agent, sometimes a smokers (Clinafarmsmoke) is also recommended. Also, a dry detector is active against fungal traces. Finally, it must be said that when a fungal infection is attacked, a diseased pigeon is primarily a "pusher" of a pigeon. That of course means good nutrition with additional vitamins and minerals.

Therapy
The therapy in fungal infections mainly consists of modern anti-fungal drugs such as Nizoral and Trisporal. Also, the drug Nystatine is frequently used in yeast infections of the intestine. The previously used agents like iodine solutions would have a reasonable effect locally in the body and stomach.
